With over 2.7 million players registered worldwide, Little League is the largest youth sports league in the world. Annually, approximately 31,500 combined teams enter the Allstar Tournament in baseball and softball in all age divisions 8 and up, easily making it the largest and most revered youth sports tournament in the world.
Unlike other leagues, you cannot buy a spot for your team or enter your travel ball squad that is made up of players that come from all parts of the state. All players must go to school or reside in the same geographical zone that Little League establishes for each league. For ages 8-11, winning a state title is the furthest the team can advance, but for all ages above that, teams can advance to the final two teams in the world where one of them is crowned world champion for their respective age division.
The international tournament begins with local district tournament competition. Our Rio Grande Valley area is Texas West District 24. Brackets for our District 24 tournament for each age division can be found here. These brackets will be updated daily by our District 24 staff.
