Can anyone play in the WBLL zone?
Little League places most cities into zones. Players are required to play within the zone that they live in or go to to school in. If you live in one zone, but go to school in another, you can pick whichever zone is best for you. If you accidentally register in the wrong zone, some leagues will allow you to play, but you will not be able to be selected to the post-season Allstar teams. These rules apply to our Spring Season. A map of our zone can be found under the tab labeled Maps. For our Fall Season, we allow players and teams from throughout the area.

What are tryouts all about?
Tryouts are mandatory for all players league age 9-15 who are not already on a majors division team. Tryouts are also required for players league age 8 who request to play up in the minors division.
Tryouts allow coaches to assemble the most competitive team possible while also allowing the available talent to be spread evenly between all teams. Players who do not attend tryouts cannot be drafted by a coach.

What equipment is required?
The league furnishes all players with a jersey and a cap. We also furnish each coach with an allowance to purchase practice equipment. We also purchase game balls for all games and compensate umpires and announcers/scorekeepers, when available.
Parents need to furnish their players with pants, socks, shoes, belt, glove, bat, and wiffle balls for practice at home. A batting tee is also highly recommended, but not required. Check our website and facebook page for discount coupons from Dick's Sporting Goods.

How do I volunteer?
WBLL is run almost entirely by volunteers. They are the lifeblood of our league. Our board of directors, our coaches, and our assistant coaches are all volunteers. All volunteers are required to complete a confidential and mandatory background check for the safety of our players. Check the Coaches & Volunteers tab for more information on what is required and who to contact.
